Floor Assistant
Partners Personnel is currently seeking a Floor Assistant for our client in Indianapolis, IN. Qualified candidates who have the following experience, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Title: Floor Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision the Floor Assistant ensures that machinery throughout designated area have sufficient raw material needed to produce quality parts.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
· Safely grinds all scrap material.
· Empties grinders.
· Responsible for placing finished goods on correct pallets.
· Makes cartons needed for shift.
· Keeps proper color level as needed for the machines.
· Relieves Inspector/Packer during their break and meal periods.
a. Performs visual inspection in all parts packed by designated machine(s)
b. Informs Quality Assurance Assistant or Shift Supervisor of defective or unacceptable parts.
· Assists Shift Supervisor with training of newly assigned Floor Assistants.
· Responsible for housekeeping and safety of designated machine area.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education required:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Forklift Certification
Experience:
· At least satisfied 6 months experience as an Inspector Packer.
· One year of experience in manufacturing environment preferably within plastics industry
Skills/Qualifications:
· Ability to speak, read, and write English.
· Basic math skills.
· Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity.
· Teamwork-cooperative and respectful of all employees/department.
· Initiative – self motivated.
· Suggest ways to improve the efficiency and safety of our work and its environment.
· Good communication/teaching and interpersonal skills.

Physical demands and working conditions:
The overall nature of the position requires constant physical exertion with physical effort frequently required. There is constant exposure to environmental noises and hazards, frequent exposure to cold and heat temperature changes.
· The constant physical demands of the position are talking and hearing.
· The frequent physical demands of the position are repetitive hand motions.
· The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, eye/hand/foot coordination and safely push and pull items.
· Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to overhead, independently, frequently to constantly.
Work environment:
· Working in this environment requires the use of company issued personal protective equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and back supports. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Company issued uniforms are required to be worn at all times.
