The Inspector 1 is responsible for ensuring that all inspections of the products are performed and accepted to customer requirements and company standards. Follow quality processes and procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process and final inspection to ensure products conform to customer requirements, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials 

•  Complete required documentation  Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specifications
•   Document all inspections in accordance with LeFiell procedures and processes 
• Develop and review inspection plans 
• Maintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints/drawings 
•  Calibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipment 
• Perform visual inspection 
• Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing 
•  Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan 

Certifications/Licenses:

• Certification in Mechanical Inspection 
• Certification in CMM Inspection 
• Certification in Hardness and EC testing preferred 

Skills & Abilities: 

•  Effectively work with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices 
• Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T) 
•  Working knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage and profilometer 
•  Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards 
• Knowledge of Six Sigma preferred 
• Able to read blueprints and schematics 
• Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors 
•  Able to work within specific time schedules/deadlines
