Job Summary

The Facility Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in all areas of the facility. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests as needed.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events and meetings, including arranging furniture and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Report maintenance issues and hazards to the supervisor.
• Follow established protocols for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions

• May be required to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential hazards associated with custodial work.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.

Pay Rate: $20.00 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am -3:30 pm
