Position Overview:

The Candy Production Worker is responsible for supporting the candy manufacturing process by working on production lines to produce high-quality confections. This position requires adherence to safety, quality control, and operational procedures. Workers may also be responsible for packaging, labeling, and ensuring products are ready for distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Candy Manufacturing:

  • Operate machinery involved in candy production (e.g., mixers, molds, and cooling equipment).
  • Monitor product consistency, color, texture, and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Mix ingredients according to established recipes and ensure proper mixing and processing of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production line area.
  • Inspect equipment and production lines for defects and report any malfunctions.

• Quality Control:

  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Identify any defects or irregularities in the products and work to resolve them.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of production areas, meeting all health and safety regulations.

• Packaging:

  • Operate packaging machines to pack candies in various forms (boxes, bags, wraps, etc.).
  • Ensure packaging is securely sealed, labeled correctly, and contains the correct product.
  • Inspect packaged goods for defects, such as damaged packaging or incorrect labeling.
  • Prepare products for shipment by sorting and organizing packaged goods.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively with other team members to meet production goals.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding production status and any potential issues.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss safety, performance, and improvement strategies.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all company policies related to food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
  • Comply with all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (some positions may require technical or manufacturing certifications).
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or packaging is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining product quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (as needed).
• Basic knowledge of machinery and equipment used in candy production (training provided).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs.
