Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Location:East El Paso
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor/Logistics Manager

Job Overview:

The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a stand-up forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse or distribution center. The operator will be expected to perform routine safety checks, maintain equipment, and assist with general warehouse operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a stand-up forklift to transport goods throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload goods from trucks or storage areas.
• Stack, organize, and store products in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on forklift to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure proper handling of materials to avoid damage to products.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in inventory control by helping with counting and tracking goods.
• Work in conjunction with warehouse team members to meet operational goals.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
• Help with other warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and sorting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid stand-up forklift certification (required in most areas).
• Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move goods as required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable operating machinery in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with temperature variations.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
• Shift work may be required, including nights and weekends.
