Maintenance technician
A Maintenance Technician at Orion Plastics is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment. Their primary duties include performing regular preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and extend machine lifespan. This involves inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting machinery, as well as identifying and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic system issues. The technician is expected to diagnose faults and repair equipment, which may include motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and temperature control units.
Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed. They will collaborate with production staff to ensure that equipment is functioning optimally and assist with equipment setups for new production runs. Adhering to safety regulations and company policies is essential, as well as assisting in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
