We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerical Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and office support tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth office workflows. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a willingness to learn.
Payrate: $17.00 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 430pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails to the appropriate departments.
- Greet visitors and assist with inquiries.
- Manage and maintain office filing systems (paper and digital).
- Handle data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Prepare, format, and print documents, reports, and memos as needed.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate calendars.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
- Assist with photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.
- Provide general support to other staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous clerical or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and multitask.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or packages (up to 20 lbs).
