Battery Assembler Technician
Job Title: Battery Assembler Associate
Location: North Las Vegas
Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Battery Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment where hybrid and electric vehicle batteries are repaired, refurbished, and repurposed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that these batteries are restored to optimal functionality, serving some of the top manufacturers of hybrid and electric vehicles worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check in and perform tests on received battery packs.
- Sort and organize materials as required for battery testing and refurbishment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with incoming batteries to identify root cause problems.
- Disassemble battery packs and separate old components for recycling.
- Rebuild battery packs using torque-calibrated tools and installing new components (e.g., arrays, BBMs, BECMs).
- Test refurbished batteries using state-of-the-art cyclers and test stands to ensure optimal functionality.
- Stage and prepare batteries for shipment to customers.
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in assembly or mechanical work preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent need to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and climb.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and health procedures, actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
- Vision acuity for close, distance, and color perception.
