About Us:

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Battery Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment where hybrid and electric vehicle batteries are repaired, refurbished, and repurposed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that these batteries are restored to optimal functionality, serving some of the top manufacturers of hybrid and electric vehicles worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check in and perform tests on received battery packs.
• Sort and organize materials as required for battery testing and refurbishment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with incoming batteries to identify root cause problems.
• Disassemble battery packs and separate old components for recycling.
• Rebuild battery packs using torque-calibrated tools and installing new components (e.g., arrays, BBMs, BECMs).
• Test refurbished batteries using state-of-the-art cyclers and test stands to ensure optimal functionality.
• Stage and prepare batteries for shipment to customers.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in assembly or mechanical work preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent need to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and climb.
• Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and health procedures, actively participating in safety initiatives.
• Reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
• Vision acuity for close, distance, and color perception.
