Job Title: Forklift Operator (Certified)

Pay Rate: Starting pay $19.50 per hour, with shift differential 

Schedule: Monday - Friday

1st shift – 6am- 4:30pm

2nd shift – 4pm- 2:30am  

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

•    Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) and loaders to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. 

•    Safely remove, locate, relocate, stack, and account for merchandise around the facility. 

•    Perform safety checks on forklifts, including fluid levels for oil, water, and fuel before operation. Ensure packaging lines have empty pallets and inform the supervisor of pallet inventory. Remove palletized bags from production lines and place them on the stretch wrapper.  

•    Operate the stretch wrapper and manage stretch film as required. 

•    Place palletized bags in inventory, ensuring they are located in the proper rows and stored neatly without damaging other inventory. 

•    Actively participate in cleaning tasks by restocking, picking up trash and debris, and washing equipment. 

•    Read BOLs and manage the quantity and carriers in a safe and efficient manner.

•    Perform physical inventory counts of finished goods as required. 

•    Meet quality and quantity standards. 

•    Ensure the safe operation of forklifts, check fluid levels, and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped efficiently. 

•    Move products from staging and storage areas into trailers. 

•    Use radio frequency for picking, receiving, put-away, and load functions as required.

•    Assist with physical inventories and carry out any additional duties as assigned. 

•    May be required to work on holidays and weekends occasionally. 

•    Carry out any additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

•    Must be able to operate a forklift; must be certified.

•    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 

•    Must be able to sit for long periods. 

•    Must be able to communicate effectively. 

•    Must read and write English. 

•    Must be able to work in a dusty environment and hot weather. 

•    Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays. 

•    Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, and dividing. 

•    Must be able to complete pre-inspection forms. 

•    Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes safety.
