Job Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires a keen eye for detail, thorough understanding of quality control procedures, and the ability to perform tests on products, raw materials, and equipment to maintain high quality standards. The QC Technician works closely with production and engineering teams to identify and address potential quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Testing & Inspection: Conduct routine inspections, tests, and measurements of products at different stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Data Documentation: Record and analyze test results, and accurately document findings to maintain compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Problem Identification & Reporting: Identify defects and deviations, document issues, and report findings to production or quality management teams.
  • Process Improvement: Work with team members to develop and implement corrective actions, ensuring that quality issues are addressed and prevented in future production cycles.
  • Equipment Calibration: Perform regular maintenance and calibration of QC testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of testing procedures.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow and enforce all quality and safety protocols, including handling of hazardous materials and operation of testing machinery in a safe manner.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Communicate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality concerns and foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a laboratory setting.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of quality control standards, including ISO or other relevant regulations.
    • Proficiency with measurement tools, testing equipment, and data recording software.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic math and computer skills for data entry and analysis.
