Job Title: Machine Tech

Pay Rate: $20/hr per hour

 

Job Description:

Will be responsible for the full operation of the burning department. Including (but not limited to) dryers, kilns, DLAs, car haulage systems, and propane systems. You will be responsible for operation, adjustments, preventive maint, repair, quality checks and shift/daily reports.

 

Requirements:

Must work in safe manner

Obey safety signs and warnings

must monitor kilns and make adjustments as needed

Make daily checks on equipment and repair or report to supervisor as needed

Must be able to learn the full operation of the automatic transfer cars

Must be able to fill in for other department employees when needed

Must learn basic computer skills

Must be able to do the daily/shift reports

Must be able to obtain forklift license

Knowledge and ability to use hand tools to adjust, repair and perform preventive maint as needed

Repair and rebuild kiln cars

Change Fan belts and sheaves

Troubleshoot issues related to kiln operations and or assist

May be asked to perform minor maint tasks in other depts

Expectations to train new employee's is implied
