Job Summary: The Machine Operator position is responsible for setting up and operating the bender, punch press, brake press, and waterjet. The Machine Operator requires the ability to independently read and interpret blueprints, set-up sheets, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, set up procedures, and use turrets, machine tools, and control settings as required by the work order specifications. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Pay rate: $19.00

1st shift: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Location: Kennesaw, GA

Job Description: 

• Operate press brake machine
•  Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches, dies, and tooling.
•  Use a CNC controller to input information into machine.
• Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
• Check height, depth, thickness using micrometers, dial calipers, calipers, gauges.
• Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
• Work with tight tolerances.
• Read drawings and blueprints.
• Perform spot inspection of parts.
• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (Copper, aluminum, Tin , silver plated )

Qualifications:

• High school diploma / GED
• 1 to 2 years of machine operation experience
• Must be able to work with Vernier calipers and other measuring tools
• Must possess strong basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Valid reach truck and forklift driving license
• Ability to work overtime
• Work independently
• Be responsible for their workstation
