Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Our manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Technician who can test, document, troubleshoot, and prepare our products for shipping. The successful candidate will have a creative, innovative approach to their work and will never shy away from offering frank observations and recommendations. We are looking for a highly organized, methodical, and detail oriented professional with the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in accordance with our QEHS policy.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices
  • Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards
  • Report problems related to our QEHS policy to senior management
  • Manage our quality assurance division
  • Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines
  • Inspect or measure materials or products in production
  • Operate inspection equipment
  • Accept or reject finished or raw products
  • Remove all product and /or materials that fail to meet specifications
  • Report inspections and test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quality


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • In-depth understanding of company standards preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
  • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
