Sets up and operates precision grinding machine to grind external surfaces of metal springs to specification.  Sets machine feeds and speeds; selects and mounts proper size and type of wheel; sets clearances, angles and adjusts stops; mounts work by use of standard tooling or holding fixtures; works to very close tolerances.

Operates precision grinding machines to grind external surfaces of metal springs to specification.

Requires ability to select and use all kinds of grinding machines, abrasive wheels, holding fixtures, gages, micrometers, etc.

Pay: $18-$26 DOE
