Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Stay abreast of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
   • Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws and standards.

2. Risk Assessment:

   • Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and potential environmental impacts.
   • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.

3. Training and Education:

   • Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols and environmental practices.
   • Keep employees informed about health and safety regulations and best practices.

4. Incident Investigation:

   • Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents.
   • Analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures.

5. Environmental Impact Management:

   • Monitor and manage environmental aspects, such as waste disposal and emissions.
   • Implement strategies to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.

6. Emergency Response Planning:

   • Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios.
   • Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.

7. Safety Data Analysis:

   • Collect and analyze safety data and environmental performance metrics.
   • Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CHMM, CSP) are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
