Duties & Responsibilities

•    Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain saws to cut metals materials adhering to engineering drawings and job instructions.

•    Material Preparation: Review work orders and select appropriate raw materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.

•    Tooling and Fixture Setup: Install and align cutting tools as required for each job, ensuring accuracy and optimal performance.

•    Quality Control: Inspect workpieces during and after the machining process to ensure adherence to dimensional and visual specifications. Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

•    Programming and Setup: Program and set up computer numerical control (CNC) machines for cutting, profiling, and stamping operations, optimizing productivity and accuracy.

•    Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs as needed.

•    Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, machine settings, and quality checks. Report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.

•    Safety and Compliance: adherence to safety guidelines and regulations at all times. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.

•    Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste. Provide suggestions and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
