Job Title: Assembly 

Pay Rate: $19.00 -$25.00

Schedule (Days and Time): 7am-4pm   

Job Duties/Responsibilities 

• Ability to develop proficiency in gearbox assembly of all Rossi product forms, mainly 

coaxial, helical and bevel gearboxes, worm gearboxes, planetary gearboxes and extruders.

• Assembles large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies.

• Performs a variety of specialized assembly operations.

• Reads job specifications to determine gearbox adjustments and material requirements.

• Performs visual quality inspection of gear wheels, pinions, shafts, bearings, housings prior 

to and upon completion of assigned work. 

• Uses samples, drawings, schematics, as well as written and verbal instructions to perform 

Gearbox/Gearmotor assembly.

• Uses hand tools such as torque wrenches and other pneumatic tools, long nose plyers to 

perform work. 

• Distinguishes colors for color-coding purposes.

• Positions work piece(s) in position, against stops or aligns layout marks.

• Sets backlash using proper measurement tools, spacers and shims to achieve 

requirements. Press fit or shrink fit bearings on pinions, shafts or in housings.

• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

• Complete all Pre-control documentation.

• Perform inventory control of supplies around the tool table, etc. 

• May be called upon to participate in full cycle painting process (ie: cleaning, prepping, 

priming, painting, inspection, and packaging, etc.).

• Must be able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced working environment.

• Performs visual quality inspection of product prior to and upon completion of assigned 

work.

• Adhere to and understand all quality control procedures.

• Perform final quality checks prior to packaging product.

• Coordinate with production and shipping for readiness to paint and package product.

• Performs minor machine maintenance such as drill presses, lathes, gearboxes or other 

work pieces.

• May load and unload materials, parts or products; stock to designated work areas; operate 

powered industrial lifts, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.

Job Requirements

•Minimum 12 months experience 

•Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.

•Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
