Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Longwood, FL

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support manufacturing operations:

·        Understand operator challenges

·        Participate in manufacturing process execution

·        Root cause determination

·        Design innovative solutions through process, tooling and technology

·        Support training efforts

Solve problems by partnering with team:

·        Consult with other engineers and tech experts

·        Instigate vendor relations about new technologies

·        Collaborate with machining experts

·        Contribute to design reviews

·        Contribute to risk assessments

Establish new manufacturing operations:

·        Build engineering prototypes

·        Build low volume products

·        Establish build processes and work instructions

·        Design and develop tooling

Contribute to verification and validation practices:

·        Specify product requirements

·        Establish verification and validation plans

·        Execute tests on product

·        Ensure that process execution is in accordance with plan & documentation

Qualifications / Requirements

·        4-year degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

·        Proficient at reading and understanding mechanical drawings.

·        Proficient understanding of and ability to accurately use measuring instruments.

·        Proficient communication skills.

·        Proficient with SolidWorks.

·        Must have keen attention to detail and quality.

Desired Qualifications

·        3 to 5 years of professional experience.

·        SolidWorks Professional Certification (CSWP).

·        Related military experience.

·        Willingness to work varied shifts to support surge activities.
