Production Associate 1st Shift

Pay: $14.50 per hour

Job Details:

• Set-up and troubleshoot equipment for operation and follow production schedule
• Oversee the operation of all packaging equipment and perform the appropriate changes in the equipment to follow the production schedule
• Verify appropriate materials (boxes, labels etc.)
• Keep areas well maintained from any bad bags and any product on the floor
• Help others to keep area clean and help packers when they are busy by helping open any bad bags, dump trash, pack, etc.
• Record product information as it relates to dates, appropriate sealing, weights, etc.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
• Record production and test data for each product packaged, such as the film used, boxes used, etc.
• Press switches and turn knobs to start, adjust, and regulate equipment including PLC and other programs
• Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as plugging, and report malfunctions or undesirable results to supervisors. Obtain, move, open, and sort products, materials, containers, and orders, using hand tools
• Cleaning tasks, including but not limited to, wipe down machines, sweep floors, and pick-up trash
• Responsible to ensure that the product meets quality specifications which include housekeeping, quality support, cleanliness in their surrounding work area and immediate work area
