Job Description:

Under the directive of the Safety Manager the Safety Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Safety team, site safety leadership, ensuring facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implementing safety directives, improving safety performance, and ensuring facility safety policies and procedures align with government regulations.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

  2. Assist with worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

  3. Assist with industrial accidents investigations, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventative measures, and mange return-to-work activities.

  4. Member of the Safety Committee offering administrative support to help plan and prepare for the quarterly meetings.

  5. Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment.

  6. Assist with video surveillance

  7. Anticipate needs, identify problems, think creatively, and rapidly produce reliable and cost-effective solutions to meet the ever growing and changing needs.

  8. Implement new ways of recording and documenting safety procedures

  9. Ensure compliance with current laws and regulations

  10. Facilitate company safety procedures

  11. Respond to employee and client requests quickly and professionally

  12. Review and make changes to current safety procedures

  13. Contact Tracing for Covid- 19

  14. Assist with identifying best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.

  15. Assist with safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance

  16. Maintain confidentiality and privacy within the department

Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work Overtime Occasionally during the workweek as needed, and on the weekend






  1. High school diploma required. Bachelors degree desired.

  2. Minimum 1 year of safety experience or quality experience

  3. Thorough knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.

  4. Strong administrative and data entry skills

  5. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.

  6. Ability to work well and under control in a crisis situation.

  7. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  8. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in teams with all management levels in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  9. Bi-lingual (Spanish)

  10. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  11. Multitask

  12. Strong attention to detail; and organizational skills

Pay rate range:


$15.50 - $20.00
