Job Description

Direct Hire Role 

ONSITE ONLY in Fort Myers, Florida

Target Salary Range: 72-75K ( if you meet the criteria, please apply with salary expectations)


Scope

The Quality Engineer shall perform a variety of activities to ensure Quality Systems Support, to include support customers’ needs on a timely basis.  Should assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System. Will assist quality assurance and support.

Qualifications 

  • Interpreting manufacturing drawings is a must
  • First Article Inspection Report (FAIR)
  • AS9100 Standard
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis tool
  • Understanding of weld, NDT and machining techniques

Education and or Experience 

Bachelor’s Degree is required. 3-5 Years is preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The quality engineer must complete all training checklist as required per the training directory for this job description.  Performs a variety of activities to ensure product conformity in line with customer, company, and International standard quality requirements

  • Ensures company/group processes are followed
  • In collaboration with Engineering and Production, guarantees customer requirements are met
  • Supports quality inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with requirements
  • Assists Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality system
  • Supports Purchasing by developing Quality Assurance monitoring and continuous improvement of suppliers
  • Conducts internal/external audit : Draft report and follow-up correctives actions until closure
  • Reviews and validates Product Verification Inspection (PVI)/FAIR internally, with suppliers and customers
  • Develops inspection plan with manufacturing and monitors correct application
  • Stimulates continuous improvement of company processes
  • Facilitates RCCA analyses in collaboration with other departments
  • Be the point of contact with the customer for quality related subjects
  • Builds substantiation, propose and negotiate with customer inspection and not alleviation
