Responsibilities:

•Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products

•Checking seals and package specifications

•Checking product weight

•Conduct and report internal audits and evaluations

•Implement and improve quality control operating procedures

•Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and defects

•Participate in routine visual inspections

•Maintain a clean and safe work environment

•Checking nitrogen, PDQ's and seasoning

•Conducting package leak/water test

 

Performing various checks and test in the lab, including:

•Physical evaluation of incoming raw materials

•Recording information in daily and weekly reports

•Performing chemical evaluation of raw and processed products

•Microbiology/Extraneous testing

•Requesting corrections when necessary

•Providing follow up when corrections are necessary

•Information Supervisor when out of standard conditions persist

 

Qualifications:

•GED or High School diploma

•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
