Welder
We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Welder to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is beginning a career in welding and fabrication and wants to build hands-on skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced welders and receive on-the-job training while learning and developing your welding, fabrication, and shop skills. If you’re safety-minded, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Perform basic MIG, TIG, or Stick welding under the guidance of experienced welders.
- Read and follow simple blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Measure, cut, grind, clean, and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
- Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Inspect completed welds and finished work for quality and accuracy.
- Assist experienced welders with fabrication, assembly, and repair projects.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and properly use required PPE.
- Report equipment problems, material defects, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and common shop tools.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Welding certification or vocational training is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Basic blueprint or drawing reading.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction setting. You may be exposed to heat, sparks, welding fumes, dust, and loud noise. Proper safety equipment is required, including a welding helmet, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
