Job Title: Dynamic 2nd Shift Assistant Lead Wanted!

Overview:
Join our vibrant manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Assistant Lead, where you'll have the opportunity to support and guide our dedicated production crew in driving operational excellence. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly, quality remains a top priority, and our team feels supported in their day-to-day activities. Collaborating closely with the Manufacturing Lead, you will help shape a work environment that is both safe and thriving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Actively assist in managing production workflows to ensure that schedules are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Team Leadership & Support: Provide hands-on guidance to team members, address any concerns, and cultivate a safe and productive work atmosphere.
  • Training & Development: Onboard and train new hires while mentoring existing team members to foster continued growth and development.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Problem-Solving: Partner with the Manufacturing Lead to identify production issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Reporting: Keep accurate records of production output, downtime, and team performance, providing updates to the Manufacturing Lead or Manager as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting, ideally with leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with adeptness at multitasking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and safety procedures.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Background in quality control or assurance processes.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate production schedules.
  • Availability to occasionally cover additional shifts as needed.
