Set reorder points for materials based on production schedules and historical usage trends to prevent stockouts and production delays. Ensure that materials are stored properly to maintain their quality and accessibility. This could involve organizing materials in warehouses or designated storage areas according to their type, usage, or shelf life. Ensure that materials are stored in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or damage.
Space Optimization: Utilize available storage space efficiently to ensure easy access to materials while maximizing storage capacity. Inspect materials upon receipt to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards. Work with quality control teams to return defective materials to suppliers and track them for replacement or credit.
