This role involves working on high-quality acoustic sensor components including piezoelectric transducers, sonar arrays, and associated hardware. Key Responsibilities
Electrical Assembly:
- Perform wiring and soldering tasks
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Cut and tin wires, crimp, and connect leads to components
- Manufacture cables and wiring harnesses including co-axial, twin-axial, and fiber-optic
- Sanding, lapping, epoxy bonding, encapsulation, and chemical mixing
- Torque components, install subassemblies, and use jigs/fixtures for alignment
- Assemble and attach hardware such as switches, clamps, and knobs
- Perform potting, cleaning, curing, stamping, etching, and other tasks
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure assembly meets specifications
- Follow production drawings, instructions, and work orders with attention to detail
- Minimum 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in soldering (required)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and verbal instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Santa Barbara, CA
