Security Fence Company, a trusted fencing contractor serving the region for over 52 years, is looking for a Commercial Estimator to join our growing Installation Department in Red Lion, PA.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing projects, building accurate estimates, and working closely with customers and team members to help bring projects to life. Responsibilities
As a Commercial Estimator, you will play a key role in the early stages of every project. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate estimates for commercial fencing
• Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Performing material takeoffs and labor calculations
• Preparing detailed project estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
• Developing and submitting competitive bid proposals
• Coordinating pricing and information with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Attending site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client discussions
• Working closely with project managers and operations staff to ensure smooth project transitions
• Preparing shop drawings, product submittals, and supporting documentation
• Tracking material costs and market trends to maintain competitive pricing
• Supporting the installation team with additional estimating and planning tasks as needed

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who brings a strong mix of technical ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in construction estimating, preferably commercial projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Understanding of construction materials, job site logistics, and installation methods
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• A self-motivated, proactive mindset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating or project management software

Experience in fencing, construction trades, or related industries is a strong plus, but not required for the right candidate.
