Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role supports daily operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments for accuracy and quality.

• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

• Move materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping areas.

• Pick, pack, and stage orders according to work orders or shipping instructions.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to supervisors.

• Label, tag, and organize materials for proper storage and identification.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while operating equipment and handling materials.

• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus (certification may be required).

• Basic math and organizational skills.

• Ability to read and understand work orders, shipping documents, and labels.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment which may include varying temperatures.
