Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Proficient in counting, weighing, and measuring items for quality control.
• Ability to prepare shipments including labeling, packing, and assembling containers.
• Experience in inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or shortages.
• Basic inventory management to track shipping materials and supplies.
• Comfortable operating hand trucks or similar equipment to move shipments.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with shipping software or databases.
• Experience with routing shipments to appropriate departments.
• Knowledge of various shipping methods and carriers.
• Prior experience assembling shipping containers.
• Strong communication skills to correspond with shippers regarding shipment discrepancies.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control roles is preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
