Job Summary
We are hiring dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a cold storage meat distribution facility in Modesto, CA. This position is responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving operations, inventory control, and material handling in a refrigerated warehouse environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in cold temperatures and be willing to learn equipment operation.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform basic shipping and receiving tasks.
- Count and verify inventory for accuracy.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks after completing required training.
- Move pallets throughout the warehouse using an electric pallet jack.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow food safety, warehouse, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Complete other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience/ Electric pallet jack 1 year
- Shipping and receiving experience is a plus.
- Experience using RF scanners is preferred.
- Ability to accurately count and pay close attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated/cold storage environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to be trained on loading, unloading, and warehouse equipment.
