Position: Tool Repair Technician
Location: Hilti
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Pay Rate: 21 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Tool Repair Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining a high-quality service outlet for Hilti equipment repair. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely repairs, supporting Hilti’s Lifetime Service commitment while optimizing cost control and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnosis, repair, and testing of Hilti tools.
Utilize hand scanners to track tool diagnostics, repairs, and parts inventory.
Ensure safety and functionality testing after each repair.
Maintain technical knowledge through continuous training and reviewing manuals.
Assist in inventory management to maintain adequate spare parts stock.
Collaborate with customers and sales personnel to maintain strong relationships.
Participate in Tool Repair Workbench Summits to benchmark repairs and improve cost efficiency.
Provide data to quality and product managers for product improvement.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following company policies.
Requirements:
Experience with hand tools and power tool assembly/disassembly.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical tool components.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical schematics.
Must be comfortable working in a workshop environment (heat, cold, dust, noise).
Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, safety vests, and other PPE required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Comfortable with standing, bending, and repetitive motions for up to 8 hours.
