Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and preparing outgoing metered mail before it enters production. This includes checking each mail piece for correct dates, valid postage, and clear, scannable barcodes. You’ll need to recognize and report any issues such as unreadable or incorrect barcodes.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Clearing occasional machine jams by safely removing stuck mail pieces
• Flagging and reporting quality issues in the mail stream
• Supporting mail flow efficiency by staying alert to errors or inconsistencies
• Assisting with other tasks as needed
This is a detail-focused position ideal for someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-style environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Attention to detail when reading sort codes
- Fast-paced and volume-driven work environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs if needed
- Basic understanding of English to follow safety and operational instructions
- Availability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with little advance notice
