Sr. Director of Operations

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the flawless execution of all logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Operational Excellence: Own and optimize all aspects of receiving, inventory management, fulfillment, facilities, and equipment to meet and exceed safety, delivery, and quality standards.
• Lead and Develop Teams: Directly oversee Operations, Shift, and Facilities managers. Cultivate a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, mentorship, and talent development.
• Implement Standardized Processes: Maintain comprehensive SOPs and standard work procedures. Conduct regular audits to ensure consistency and eliminate reliance on tribal knowledge.
• Champion Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture centered on data-driven metrics, waste reduction, and process enhancements using proven methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
• Cultivate a Disciplined Culture: Enforce behavioral and performance standards, promptly addressing gaps through documented coaching and feedback.
• Resource Optimization: Manage capacity planning, staffing strategies—including seasonal peaks—and oversee capital investments to support operational growth.
• Maintain Facility Excellence: Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained workspace, with adherence to safety standards and scheduled preventative maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 5-10+ years in warehouse or operations leadership, with proven success managing managers and cross-functional teams.
• Process Improvement Expertise: Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience scaling fulfillment operations and implementing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Systems thinking, data-driven decision-making, organizational design, and strategic resource planning.
