Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely load and unload cargo from trucks and other vehicles using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and defects. Document any issues and prepare them for the correct destination.
- Accurately track inventory by recording shipments, maintaining stock levels, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Safely operate a variety of dock equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any potential hazards or incidents to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other team members, logistics staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.
- Keep the loading dock, walkways, and storage areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Minimum 6 months experience picking and packing in a manufacturing, or warehouse, environment.
- Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
