Rate: $23-24/hr

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm

Description

Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician: Responsible for monitoring, testing, and inspecting products and processes at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to company quality and food safety standards.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following)

• The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring food safety policies are being adhered to and product quality standards are being met in our Food Manufacturing Plant.
• Ensure the manufacturing processes and facilities of the company meet quality standards with emphasis on product safety, sanitation, environmental awareness, and customer satisfaction. (GMP and HACCP program compliance.)
• Perform routine audits in the plant & warehouse to ensure that company standards are met.
• Responsible for Food safety and quality control training class and schedule.
• Responsible for HACCP records keeping, review, verification, and corrective actions.
• Responsible for conducting microbiological and sensor testing for the finished products
• Responsible for CCPs and CPs monitoring
• Conducts in-depth investigations to assist in resolving non-compliant product or practice.
• Assist in product hold and release process

Pre-requisite requirements

• Bachelors Degree desired. Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related are from an accredited four year-college or university preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
