Job Description — Production Area Sanitation Assistant (Warehouse/Production)

Client: Synear Foods
Location: Chatsworth, CA 91311 (On-site)
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr • Hours: 40/week • Duration: ~2 weeks (as currently set up)

Position Summary

The Production Area Sanitation Assistant supports day-to-day cleanliness and sanitation in a food production environment. This role helps keep production lines, floors, tools, and work areas clean and organized to support food safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with sanitation of production areas (floors, walls, drains, work surfaces, and designated equipment exteriors)
• Perform pre-op / mid-shift / end-of-shift cleaning as directed by the supervisor
• Help restock and organize sanitation supplies (chemicals, rags, scrubbers, mop heads, etc.)
• Dispose of trash, cardboard, and production waste properly; keep areas free of debris and hazards
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company hygiene rules (handwashing, hairnets, etc.)
• Use cleaning chemicals safely following labels/SDS and required dilution methods (training provided as applicable)
• Support basic documentation when needed (checklists/logs)
• Maintain a safe work area by following PPE requirements and reporting spills, leaks, or unsafe conditions

Qualifications / Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and follow instructions closely
• Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks and standing/walking for most of the shift
• Attention to detail; ability to maintain food-safety cleanliness standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Prior sanitation, janitorial, warehouse, or food production experience is a plus (not always required)

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Lift up to ~40 lbs (per job tier on file)
• Able to work around strong odors from cleaning chemicals and in wet/slippery areas (with proper PPE)

Work Environment / PPE

• Food production/warehouse setting (temperature may vary by area)
• PPE may include hairnet/beard net, gloves, safety glasses, apron/smock, non-slip shoes, and/or hearing protection depending on area
