Production Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring manufacturing processes, maintaining product quality, and ensuring production goals are met while following all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to producing high-quality products efficiently and safely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to established procedures and production schedules.
• Set up machinery and make minor adjustments to maintain efficient production.
• Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors.
• Complete production records, quality documentation, and daily logs accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment following company housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with material handling, packaging, labeling, palletizing, and staging finished goods for shipment.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and minimize downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a machine operator or production operator in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
