Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Client Site - Large Flooring Manufacturer
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 3pm PM Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are hiring a skilled Material Handler to join our Shipping Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods. This role supports production flow by staging materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attach correct shipping information and transfer completed orders to the shipping
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and system records.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated production, storage, or shipping locations.
- Stage materials at workstations to support uninterrupted production.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Identify and report shortages, damages, quality issues, or safety hazards.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned area.
- Secure containers on pallets using stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strapping.
- Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
- High school diploma or GED .
- Ability to read work orders, pick lists, and basic production documentation. –
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
