Join Our Team as a Process Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding

Location: Beaumont, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Shift: 3PM - 11PM

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to take the lead in optimizing our plastic injection molding operations. This pivotal role involves developing and enforcing process standards, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, and driving efficiency across the manufacturing plant. As a key contributor, you will analyze performance data, identify operational gaps, and lead projects that reduce costs, boost productivity, and elevate overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized manufacturing processes tailored to plastic injection molding.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and streamline production flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies such as DOE, FMEA, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze KPIs to track operational performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough production gap analyses and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Assist in the development and budgeting of equipment, fixtures, and material handling systems to support manufacturing needs.
  • Optimize labor utilization, workflow, and resource efficiency to maximize output.
  • Participate in annual capital investment planning and operational strategy development.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain accurate master production data within SAP.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for leadership review and decision-making.
  • Support workforce sizing and capacity planning to align staffing with production demands.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or Plastics preferred).
  • Proven experience in a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of injection molding processes, molds, and machinery.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing tools, including DOE, FMEA, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP is required; Power BI skills are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player capable of working effectively across functions.
