We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a Delano Client!

The Senior Accountant manages and performs day to day accounting and monthly financial reporting and helps implement accounting policies, processes and procedures.

Pay: $72,000-$90,000 annually

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Job Duties:

• Responsible for managing operations data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Assists in month-end closings, including analysis and reconciliation.
• Supervise and review preparation of intercompany reconciliations
• Supervise and review preparation of daily bank reconciliations
• Supervise and review monthly accruals and amortizations
• Prepare monthly financial reporting package
• Participate as needed in financial audits with Controller and CFO.
• Ensure proper and timely vendor payments are made.
• Ensure proper and timely AR/Cash transactions are posted.
• Delegate data entry, A/P, A/R tasks to clerical staff.
• Maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records
• Maintain company accounting procedures and processes

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of balance sheets and income statements with proven analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Fundamental understanding of GAAP. Knowledge and understanding of office policies and procedures.
• Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office Suite with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Attention to detail, highly organized, strong work ethic
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• General knowledge of A/R and A/P procedures.
• Familiar with farming related concepts, practices and procedures is a plus.
